It is always a pleasure to start an Auction to a packed room and a loads of online bidders and so it was this month and there was as we always try to do in our catalogues something for everyone. We were delighted to welcome many self proclaimed novices to the Auction world who realised that the choice of items available at a sale from furniture to collectables, via port, stamps and silver were a one stop shop for doing up a house or kitting out the garden. Serious collectors were also looked after with Classic silverware by Archibald Knox for Liberty, some Charlotte Rhead pieces and some fine paintings.   We always do well with medal groups and this month our customers were delighted with the prices achieved and we are looking for customers who would like to consign similar items.                       Our sales continue to rise in popularity with not just UK buyers and those local to Windsor, this month we are shipping Remy Martin to Amsterdam, Porcelain to China, Toys to Canada, to name just a few. Off the Rostrum we made our first foray onto TV with the Auction House featuring in Wednesday 27th’s Auction Road Trip, filmed in April, and both Auctioneers, Harry and Simon have not mentioned it at all this week!! Remy Martin (£1550 for one bottle), Chinese Brush Pot (£360), Archibald Knox silver vase (£1950), Antique Buddha £340 all went well this month but what are we looking for our sale on October 28th? We are always looking for silver items, jewellery, stamps, coins. But we are now looking for the interesting and the extraordinary if you think you have something that fits the bill, give us a call on 01753 868076.
