June 2017 Auction ‘A View From the Rostrum’
Welcome to our latest monthly roundup from our June auction.
Saturdays auction saw our standard wide ranging selection of collectables and antiques to suit equally wide ranging budgets. Silver achieved some great prices with both bidders in the room and online battling it out for the best pieces.
We were delighted to offer over 50 lots of Moorcroft belonging to one gentleman’s collection. These were fiercely contested by those in the room, online and two very persistent phone bidders. The bidding was good natured, humorous and good prices were achieved for our customer.
Vintage toys also made money this month with everything from lead soldiers, die-cast vehicles and a collection of 1970’s Lone Ranger figures made several hundred pounds.
A large private collection of stamps split into fifteen lots also attracted a wide range of interest across all platforms and within an hour of the sale we were delighted to have another collection consigned as a result of our success.
It was a busy sale even with the change of date and as ever we were delighted to meet all sorts of new customers in the room who joined in with the Windsor Auctions style of auctions.
